Push-to-talk dictation for macOS. Transcribed on your Mac, cleaned up so it reads like you typed it, and your voice never leaves the machine.
macOS 14+ · Apple silicon · one-time purchase · no accountSpeech-to-text is WhisperKit on the Neural Engine. There is no code path that uploads audio — on any setting, with or without an API key.
No subscription. On macOS 26 the cleanup runs on Apple's on-device model for free. On older Macs you bring your own Claude key and pay cents, not $15.
Fillers gone, punctuation right, tone matched per app. French spacing and Spanish question marks handled by rules, not guesswork. A guard refuses output that answers you instead of cleaning you.

|---|---|---|

| Transcribed text | Stays on-device | Sent to Anthropic's API over HTTPS for cleanup, under their commercial terms (no training by default) |

| Analytics, crash reports, account | None | None |
| Your API key | — | macOS Keychain, never plaintext |
A local debug log of dictations exists for tuning and can be turned off, revealed or cleared in Preferences. Full details: privacy summary above.
Accessibility lets it see the global Fn key and type into the focused field. Input Monitoring provides the key-down/up events. Without Accessibility, macOS silently withholds Fn presses and nothing happens. Microphone is for your voice.
Not yet. The current version is hardcoded to Fn (Globe). A configurable hotkey is the next planned release and will be a free update.
No. WhisperKit needs Apple silicon for usable speed. M1 or later.
English, French and Spanish are tuned and tested end to end, including French typographic spacing and casual Spanish punctuation. Whisper itself understands many more, but cleanup rules are written for those three.
You pay Anthropic directly with your own key. Measured real use: 269 dictations, 7,530 words, about 67 minutes of speech, $0.45 total. The app shows your running spend in Preferences.
No, and it can't be: global hotkeys and typing into other apps are not allowed inside the App Sandbox. Same reason Wispr Flow is a direct download.
Checkout is by Stripe. Right after payment you see your licence key and a download button, and both arrive by email. The download link lasts 7 days; the licence key never expires.
No. The key is checked on your Mac, offline, with a signature. Dictation never stops because of a licence check.
